Job Description

Position Summary

The Finance Manager for Low Voltage Drives ("Drives") is a critical business partner who helps shape decisions and provides essential financial guidance to ensure continued profitable growth. The position leads the financial planning processes for Drives, interprets financial performance to provide actionable insights, and helps optimize investment allocation to drive profitable share gains for Drives. The position works closely with the Global Analysis & Insights team and collaboratively across FP&A to support ongoing transformation within Finance. The position reports to the Director of Finance for the Intelligent Drives segment.

What you will do:

• Partner with the Drives Vice President and various technical and functional leaders to refine SIC's strategy and vision.
• Influence business strategy by painting the financial picture of what's impacting Drives results and how changes in the market, supply chain, pricing, and productivity could impact future business performance.
• Support the development of new products by providing clear visibility into project profitability, including sensitivity analysis on key financial, timing, and scope variables to improve confidence in key decisions
• Solve business problems by removing internal and external obstacles and devising practical solutions
• Analyze topline, margin, and spend performance to get at the key drivers and find ways to improve the bottom line
• Lead financial forecast process, annual planning cycle, and reporting for the business and
• Interpret results to non-finance audience so that they understand wholistic financial performance; and improve the business's financial acumen by training them on key tools and concepts.
• Leverage powerful standard analytical tools and coach business partners in using standard reporting to drill down into the data to improve their visibility to portfolio performance.
• Manage spending to targeted levels by working with Program Management Office and with functional leaders on controlling project and people costs and prioritizing investments.
• Liaise with our finance organization and segment teams to deliver clear reporting, processes, and tools.
• Ensure the material accuracy of our financial results and proper administration of related internal controls.
• Advocate for unique business needs while driving standard tools and processes in finance.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or Business
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required if primary work location in the US. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Preferred Qualifications

• Typically requires 8 years of related experience
• MBA is preferred but not required
• Independence and confidence in working autonomously while still able to collaborate across the org
• Pro-active mindset identifying solutions and driving the conversation on financial issues
• Persuasive and diplomatic temperament to sell ideas and explain changes
• Adept at leveraging RA systems and desktop apps to "drill down" to resolve complex issues
• Demonstrated ability to express complex ideas in simple terms, present results, and translate systems and financial terminology to various levels of management.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and projects with varying deadlines.
• Strong project leadership and organizational skills.
