Finance Manager, FP&A

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Financial Manager will support the Finance department’s activities in forecasting and budgeting and in providing financial and operational reporting and analysis to the Company’s leadership team, with the objective of presenting the Company’s key performance components and trends to support decision-making.

**This position will work from their home office with travel expectations to the Chicago, IL headquarters once or twice a quarter for on-site collaboration and department meetings.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Reporting & Analysis: Support the Sr. Director of Financial Planning & Analysis in:
  • Development: Support the development and establishment of key corporate and field level financial and operational benchmarks and lead/support the development and production of new tools to assess performance against benchmarks with key performance metrics. Support streamlining of reporting of operating expenses.
  • Financial Analysis: Performing analysis of financial and operating trends, results, key variances, performance drivers, and making recommendations for actions.
  • Review: Working with Corporate department leads to prepare material for monthly operating reviews. Work with CFO to provide financial packages for sponsors and board members.
  • Performing additional ad-hoc reporting as needed.
• Forecasting: Work with the Corporate department leads to develop and refine periodic mid-year and multi-year forecasts to assess impact of current activities and initiatives and establish long term corporate goals. Provide financial modeling for strategic initiatives. Primary lead on cash flow and balance sheet forecasting while working with Investor Relations and Treasury. 
• Budgeting: Finance lead for Annual Operating Plan for Corporate. Support potential development of new financial budgeting and forecasting modules to streamline process. Work with Corporate department heads on budget process including identification of key cost savings initiatives.
• Investor Relations and Treasury support:
  • Work with SVP of Investor Relations and Director of Treasury on financial packages for key banks/lenders
  • Financial modeling for cash flow reporting & analysis and forecasting. 
  • Standardization of key performance metrics for external use

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA desirable
• 5+ years of relevant experience, including accounting and financial statement analysis and financial modeling experience
• Managerial or supervisory experience required
• Healthcare industry experience beneficial but not required
• Working with Private Equity-backed companies beneficial but not required
• Software skills: Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint essential; experience in Workday, Oracle/NetSuite, Great Plains, Power BI, or other financial accounting software; and experience in Business Intelligence software preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Ability to travel 10% of time; may fluctuate based on business needs
