What You Will Do

Reporting to the Finance Director, Acute Care, the Finance Manager will be responsible for leading the FP&A function of the Vocera business, recently acquired by Stryker Corporation in February 2022. This will include all planning, forecasting, and budgeting as well as oversite of the monthly and quarterly financial close processes and communication of financial results. This position will also be responsible for leading and developing a highly performing Analyst.

Financial Close, Projection and Budgeting Cycle

• Interact with Divisional Management on Actuals, Budgets, Forecasts and other financial reporting matters.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial figures.
• Contribute to the annual budgeting process and to the five years Strategic Planning process.
• Hit all Corporate/divisional deadlines, while ensuring there is overall consistency.
• Play an active role in improving processes and assist in leading process improvement projects relating to the financial close.
• Center of excellence for reporting, including but not limited to Financial Management packs, Price/Margin /Variance analysis, sales reporting, forecast accuracy reporting, trend analysis, KPI dashboards.
• Work within financial systems, such as Hyperion and SAP, to submit financial data as well as extract it as needed.
• Oversee the annual inventory cost setting process as well as monthly close processes around inventory accounting of contract manufactured devices.

Business support

The role supports the Vocera Business with the following:

• Provide Leadership team with reporting and analysis, to enable fact-based decision making and to drive action in support of the short-term and long-term financial plan.
• Collaborate with the revenue accounting team to create the weekly revenue forecast, including variance analysis to prior weeks.
• Develop cross-functional partnerships with commercial, planning and operations teams to validate key assumptions.
• Formulate business review presentation packages for Acute Care Leadership team.
• Develop trend analysis, KPIs and dashboards based on user requirement analysis.
• Support with business process improvements.
• Oversight of the monthly sales commission calculations and coordination of payments with applicable payroll teams.
• Lead the annual creation of incentive based sales commission plans.

Communication

• Communication is key to ensure all stakeholders in the reporting process are aligned and know their role in the complex processes. Tight corporate deadlines will be met by effective management.

• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
• Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information effectively.
• Capable of explaining complicated financial information to non-finance colleagues.

What You Need

• Bachelor's Degree preferred concentration in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
• 8+ years relevant finance experience
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Power BI, and Hyperion
• MBA or Advanced Degree preferred
• Professional Certification (CPA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent) preferred
• Experience with TM1 forecasting preferred
• Experience with SAP ECC preferred
• 2+ years in people management preferred

You will need to live within commuting distance to our San Jose, CA or Kalamazoo, MI office. You will need to be in the office 3 days a week, but you will have the flexibility to work from home on the other days.

$95,100 - $204,000 salary plus bonus eligible + Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program, Wellbeing Program, Employee Stock Purchase Program). This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position based on current national data. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
