About the RoleThe Content Financial Planning and Analysis team leads Twitch’s content acquisition deal modeling and analysis, ensuring accurate reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning. The team analyzes new content investments across individual streamers and esports, and supports the go-to-market execution. As a Finance Manager, Content FP&A you will review deals, and forecast/report our monthly budget spend, commitments and portfolio Indicators. You will partner with our teams to improve our current processes, uphold financial discipline in our content acquisitions, and increase visibility into Twitch’s content investments using data analysis. You will work with global Content, Business Development and Finance teams, and report to the Senior Finance Director, in San Francisco.
You Will:- Be a finance partner and analytical expert to our Content and Business Development teams
- Support complex deal financial models including a mix of advertising, commerce products, and new product revenue, and improve deal structuring
- Structure and automate analytical processes that are part of Content Finance forecasting, budgeting, and deal analysis workstreams
- Support quarterly and ad hoc forecasting/planning cycles for the Content and Business Development teams
- Build analytical tools to report and present deal portfolio & post mortem Indicators to Content and Finance teams on a quarterly basis
- Create visualizations and dashboards capturing relevant KPIs and business indicators to support decision-making
- Report monthly Content budget spend and commitments and provide variance analysisÂ
- Provide clear analyses to senior management and translate those findings into recommendations
- Develop and monitor measurements, highlighting trends and explaining the causes of unexpected variances
- Research the industry for competitive intelligence to improve our deal/industry modeling capabilities
- Comfortable working across different time zones
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or similar quantitative area of study
- 4+ years in financial analysis, investment banking, corporate strategy, data science or comparable analytical role
- 2+ years of experience with relational databases, and data extraction tools (SQL)
- Ability to build dashboards, utilizing Tableau/Power BI
- Advanced modeling using Excel
- Experience working with complex data sets and data analysis
- 2+ years utilizing open source programming languages (R, Python)
- Prior deal review or advanced modeling experience
- Experience with Twitch
