The Finance Manager, Operations role is responsible for supporting a Global Supply Chain organization by driving the consolidation of spend and associated analyses enabling sound fiscal stewardship. This role will be expected to develop/ascend the visibility of actionable analytics and be a key innovator for reporting tools/processes.

This position is part of the Global Operations Finance Team and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA-Hybrid (with flexible scheduling, finance team is in office 3 days per week). At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Partner closely with an innovative Supply Chain Organization to provide sound, data-driven financial insights.
• Own OPEX/HC/CAPEX including forecast, budget, month-end close, flux, and ad-hoc analyses, and reporting.
• GSC Strategic Decision Support. Requires strong business acumen with ability to provide business case scenario modeling and cost-benefit comparatives (insource/outsource, footprint optimization, indirect savings, etc).
• Support Working Capital objectives (Cepheid Core Value Driver) through ownership of Working Capital metrics, e.g., DPO, DSO, Inventory Turns (drive global forecast alignment, reporting of actuals/variances, enhance reporting / metrics).
• Streamline and improve finance processes by leveraging / developing systems / tools. Support our technology and digital transformation through continuous deployment of new skills and tools (Power BI, RPA, etc).

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor's degree (or MBA) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent with 5 years of relevant FP&A experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, solid systems knowledge (ERP, Consolidation tools, Power BI, Dashboard creation/publication, etc).
• Stretch oriented - embraces and thrives on challenge, a fast-paced environment, performs well under pressure, juggles multiple priorities, and meets aggressive deadlines.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Operations / Logistics / Contract Mfg Finance support.
• Working Capital Management.
• Coordinating deliverables across global teams

The salary range for this role is ($130k-$145k). This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
