Finance Manager Operations

Under general supervision of the Director of Finance - US Operations, this position is responsible for providing financial support, analysis, reporting to the US Finance Operations team. This includes preparing month end journal entries, analysis of results, capital plan support and financial planning & analysis. Manager is expected to have strong communication skills as several deliverables will require communication with higher level finance personnel & other cross-functional leaders.

• Use advanced and broad-based financial accounting business knowledge to perform complex analyses and support/measure results
• Implement consistency and process improvements
• Spread financial knowledge to the other members of the operations team

What you will do:

• Finance Lead for US Operations Outlook, Plan, Forecasting & monthly operating review processes.
• Finance Lead of US capital planning process
• Support Strategic Plan initiative development & execution from finance perspective.
• Assist in the preparation of written/graphical financial & operational information to support Operation Reviews & Capital Appropriation Requests (CARS).
• Ensure the integrity of the financial information generated in capital planning process
• Analyze monthly financial results of capital spend and establish & measure key financial targets.
• Support month end close and review monthly financial results and key metrics for US plants from regional perspective. Identify corrective actions and communicates these to the operations leadership
• Drive consistency & structure in internal control within US operations finance. This includes month end review of balance sheet & forecasting/planning of US region inventory.
• Lead best business practices (BBP) from a financial perspective & facilitate implementation of these practices throughout the Finance operations team
• Finance lead for Manufacturing Engineering & regional operations team including month end close, cost center budgeting, and outlook.
• Ensure the appropriate financial tools are utilized to support all capital and strategic investments
• Support ad -hoc requests

What we look for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Recommended 5+ years of finance/accounting experience including strong process and systems experience.
• Familiarity with IT systems (SAP & BES) as they relate to financial functions and operational areas.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a highly complex matrixed organization while preserving the identity and clear objectives of the business.
• Strong written and oral communication skills. Must have a strong analytical and problem-solving background.
• Innovative and able to think both analytically and conceptually
• Individual PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness to travel
