About the Team
The Professional Services Accounting & Billing team is a successful group of individuals who analyze and manage professional services contracts, accounting, billing & revenue. Within this area, you may assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report revenue, including deferred revenue, in accordance with the company revenue recognition policy. As well as, generate revenue reports for internal and/or external use, interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders, be involved in reviewing, tracking and maintaining billing information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations.
About the Role
Workday is seeking a highly skilled Finance Operations Analyst who wants to make their mark on a growing organization.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate and execute contract administration and system entries for professional services.
- Investigate and resolve billing and professional services contract queries.
- Review customer contracts as relating to reimbursable expenses, training invoices and professional services.
- Responsible for preparation of reimbursable expense and training invoices.
- Extract, analyze and report on key metrics and create ad-hoc reporting.
- Create and maintain customer records.
- Issue refunds and adjustments.
- Perform account reconciliations
- Assist with month end responsibilities.
- Perform tax related tasks (including sales tax end user schedules).
- Special projects as assigned.
About You
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a great communicator, and enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents, in a dynamic fast-paced environment. To be successful in this role, the individual will be expected to balance multiple deadlines, have strong analytical skills, be detailed, and display a high level of organizational skills.
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of Accounts Receivable (or similar) experience
Other Qualifications
- Strong computer skills are necessary, including Excel
- General accounting experience preferred
- Accounting / Finance or other business degree preferred
- Strong analytic, collaborative and problem-solving skills
- Organized, detail oriented and accurate
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-starter
- Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management
- Customer service focused and solution oriented
- Professional demeanor
