Summary

Gryphon Capital Investments Pty Ltd, a Barings Company, is a specialist fixed income manager operating in the Australian RMBS and ABS fixed income markets. 

Continued growth in funds under management has created a unique opportunity within Gryphon’s team for a new role within the operations team. The operations team plays a key role in providing support for the Gryphon team, provide reporting for key stakeholders, both within Barings and externally, and ensuring key operational processes, such as the bond trade and settlement process, functions effectively.

Based in contemporary offices in Brisbane’s James Street, this opportunity will provide you with both a challenging and diverse role.

Primary Responsibilities

The analyst position will assist and contribute to the following primary tasks:

• Fund administration support for an ASX Listed Investment Trust and two Unlisted Investment Trusts which includes the calculation and verification of fund net asset values, fund unitholder distributions, liaising with fund service providers and processing payments for each fund.
• Monthly client reporting responsibilities including verification and distribution.
•  Processing and booking of trade instructions and liaising with various trade counterparties and custodians to co-ordinate trade settlements
• Reconcile daily portfolio and cash positions
• Maintain Gryphon website
• Complete Ad hoc analysis for portfolio managers

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience working in fund administration, finance, accounting or analytical role
• Basic understanding of finance concepts preferred but not essential
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs, particularly Excel
• Well organized and detail-oriented
• Self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently
• Strong communication skills
• A positive collegial approach
