Finance Operations Director
Job Description
Tyler Technologies is a leading provider of software solutions and services for the public sector. Our products are designed to help state and local governments streamline their operations and improve service to their constituents. We are currently seeking a Finance Operations Director to join our team. The Operations Director will work across divisions to understand financial processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement and collaboration, where necessary. Their team will oversee cross divisional financial operations projects and centralized functions like dataset building and management, incentive compensation, and strategic project monitoring. Acting as either a partner or the owner of financial operations functions, their objective will be to streamline workflows and build centralized collaborative tools. They will provide their finance and operational business partners with reporting and self-service analytics to allow for independent analyses.Responsibilities
- Become a subject matter expert on internal financial systems and processes
- Understand and organize financial and operational data so that it becomes a single source of information
- Work collaboratively with existing divisional FP&A teams to centralize and improve upon exiting business processes
- Work closely with corporate IT and accounting teams to achieve collective goals
- Monitor and control workflows, to allow for one trusted source of data across the organization and promote automate as much as possible
- 10+ years in a leadership role in a similar function or industry
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field; CPA or MBA is a plus
- Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics, using business management software (ex: ERP, CRM)
- Prior experience with business intelligence (PowerBI) and EPM or CPM (OneStream, Hyperion, Board) tools
- An analytical mindset with clear communication and proven problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to translate complex problems clearly and in nontechnical terms
- Experience navigating a large organization and working across teams
- Experience building centralized processes and teams
- High attention to detail and ability to independently manage priorities and deadlines
