Job Description Summary:

The primary functions of this position are 1) lead projects that drive end to end integration of acquisitions to ensure proper accounting and reconciliation, 2) assess current state and develop requirements for effective end to end integration, 3) work closely with stakeholders and application support to align go live timelines.

Job Description:

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Drive early and consistent engagement with target to integrate daily system processes to Global Finance Operations
  • Assess the target's current transaction processing data collection and flow.
  • Build, design, and recommend integration requirements with PayPal finance systems.
  • Build, design and recommend global integration requirements with 3rd party banks/processors in partnership with treasury and current payment relationships.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and implement end-to-end solutions that address the organization's ability to provide accurate, timely, defect free reconciliations.
  • Ensure that existing, and any new, processes have proper internal control steps built in that meet SOX requirements.
  • Participate in special projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED PERFORMANCE

  • Meet or Exceed expectations level for all specific duties outlined above.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the organizations processes for the business products, transactions, systems and related process flows.
  • Understand the implications from the transaction level, to the reconciliation level and then up to the general ledger of various transaction flows.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education

  • BA/BS Degree; Accounting and/or Systems preferred.

B. Experience

  • 5+ years relevant work experience in accounting operations, systems process design and/or process integration, including experience in high volume, complex general ledger reconciliations.
  • Experience with developing business and functional requirements.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience working with cross -functional and international teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Project and Excel.
  • Experience working with complex, multi-system environments including data extraction and interfaces.
  • System and process architecture, troubleshooting, reengineering and mapping.
  • Financial institution or payments industry experience a plus.

  • Team-oriented approach - can effectively lead a project or participate as an effective team member as well as work cross-functionally with other organizations.

  • This position may require travel up to as much as 10% of time.
