The ideal Finance Operations Partner will possess extensive experience in financial operations, demonstrate strong analytical skills, and have the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. This role requires someone who can act as a pivotal point of contact for various financial processes, addressing ad hoc queries, and providing comprehensive financial support. The Finance Operations Partner will work closely with different teams to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions and compliance with company policies.

The Opportunity 

  • Finance Operations Support: Review and release customer credit/debit notes through SAP in collaboration with Roche Services & Solutions to resolve credit limit blocks. Conduct monthly service and digital revenue recognition and handle blocked transactions. Perform monthly sales reconciliations between RDAP and DKSH and prepare manual billing invoices. Manage bank signatories and GIRO updates while handling cash collections from walk-in customers and events. Assist with tax matters including GST topics and perform month-end closing tasks, including inventory provision reviews and ad-hoc journal entries.

  • Master Data Maintenance: Administer product pricing proposals and update pricing master data, including managing ASP proposals and coordinating with global business analysts and local business units to review export market profitability and pricing approvals. Additionally, it includes creating and maintaining deal master records for rental billing contracts, processing capitalization for instruments while updating equipment movement and master data, and supporting vendor master data management for healthcare professional (HCP) accounts by serving as a gatekeeper and requester.

  • Support Finance Policy Development & Drive Continuous Improvement: Assist in the creation and implementation of finance policies that integrate financial risk assessments and compliance protocols, regularly review and support process improvement initiatives while updating finance-related policies to adapt to evolving business needs and best practices. This role also involves building networks across the organization to share best practices and foster a consistent approach, including cross-division collaboration (OneRoche), as well as simplifying processes and enhancing efficiency through innovation and technology, in partnership with Roche Services & Solutions (RSS) to drive process improvement initiatives.

  • Travel & Expense (T&E) Management: Address expense report queries from Roche Services & Solutions (RSS) and employees regarding out-of-policy reviews, maintain T&E expense types, and explore potential review solutions with RSS. Additionally, the role may involve co-creating quarterly newsletter updates as needed.

  • Internal controls management: Conduct annual user access reviews for the FinCo application and review the Delegation of Authority (DoA) levels as necessary while serving as the MDMS gatekeeper for DoA updates. 

  • Treasury Management: Handle bank guarantee applications and legal vetting, as well as managing letters of credit and export documentary collections for export markets. 

  • Reporting: Manage DIS IFRS 15 reporting related to rental income by consolidating data and sharing it with Roche Services & Solutions (RSS), along with compiling, reviewing, and submitting half-yearly claims for obsolete inventory write-offs.

  • Pricing and Deal Management: Conduct detailed calculations and analyses to evaluate the financial viability and profitability of deals, review and negotiate commercial terms to align with strategic objectives, and continuously monitor and analyze cost centers and profit margins to ensure financial performance meets budgetary and strategic goals.

  • Strategic insights and analytics: Provide financial analysis, modeling, and consultation to support informed business decisions and achieve objectives. It involves leveraging data analytics to interpret complex datasets, identify trends, and generate actionable insights for strategic decision-making. Additionally, the position requires staying updated on both the internal and external business landscape to recognize trends, issues, and opportunities that can create value.

  • Commercial Team Support: Collaborate with the Commercial Team to resolve key customer issues (e.g., pricing, contract compliance, and negotiation), participate actively in business sprints to drive strategic initiatives, connect knowledge across various domains, and ensure seamless customer experiences with the Value Enabler Chapter resources.

  • Digital Champion: Responsible for advocating digital programs and projects throughout local business processes, encompassing end-to-end management. This role offers local support to implement the global digital strategy and infrastructure.

Who you are 

  • You should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with at least 3 years of experience in financial operations or a similar role.

  • You should have strong knowledge of financial processes and systems (SAP experience preferred) with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • You should have the ability to provide valuable business insights based on strong analytical skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
