Finance Project Accountant

Our success has led to continued expansion both in the range of services we offer and our global presence. We are now looking for a talented Finance Project Accountant to join our team.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Project Accountant. This position supports the operational management of the company in achieving project profitability and billable productivity through provision of finance information and financial management of client projects. The Finance Project Accountant monitors compliance with financial policies and procedures and is responsible for communicating any events or activities that may impact the finance results of the corporation to financial management.

Education, Work Experience and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with 3 - 5 years of project accounting or related finance experience.  A CPA or equivalent financial qualification is a plus.

• Highly developed understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and in particular accrual and deferral accounting are necessary. Limited day-to-day supervision in the completion of their duties specifically revenue and cost recognition using the percent completion methodology. Exposure to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and intercompany transactions is preferred.

• Prior fee income service organization experience highly preferred.

• Other highly preferred skills include intercompany accounting in an international environment, Percentage Completion Method (PCM) and Completed Contract Method (CCM) accounting.
