Job Description

We are searching for a Finance Regulatory Project Manager to join our team. The Finance Regulatory Project Manager provides comprehensive project management for internal projects, primarily related financial management and/or regulatory nature. This role is responsible for coordination of cross-functional project team to deliver project initiatives spanning business, operational and technology changes. Also, understands complex projects and determines program/project resource needs from areas of specialized knowledge. This role will define project scope and objectives, as well as develops detailed work plan, schedules, issues logs, project cost estimates, resource plans and status reports. Additionally, this role will ensure adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. While there may be some technology components, the role is a business project manager, not an IT project manager. The role also includes development of content knowledge, documentation, and business analysis in support of CCAR and Resolution Planning.

  • Knowledge of project management, excellent consultative skills, strong analytical ability and ability to work with multiple partners in cross functional groups at various levels throughout the organization.
  • Ability to drive consensus among multiple groups.
  • Excellent organization skills to track many concurrent activities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and assess relative priority among competing issues.
  • Tendency to be self- motivated.

Major Duties

  • Provides program/project leadership to finance, risk, business unit, operations and technology partners. Fosters environment that encourages partner participation, teamwork and communication
  • Defines project scope and objectives
  • Develops and maintains detailed work plan, project milestones, project cost estimates, resource plans
  • Identifies and tracks risk/issue, assumption and dependencies, and oversees their resolution
  • Produces status reporting and presents to various program/project constituents Facilitates completion of project milestones and resolution of key issues
  • Escalates to appropriate governing groups and/or management dependencies, concerns and emerging issues, along with mitigation/contingency plans
  • Collaborates with work stream leads to engage program partners and coordinate/ integrate work activities and deliverables
  • Coordinates with other work streams to complete project deliverables spanning regulatory requirements, business process changes and documentation
  • Monitors progress to identified plans and milestones, including financial budgets for expense and/or capital dollars.
  • Identifies and documents project risks, issues and completed milestones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of project management experience
  • Financial industry experience and familiarity with the current regulatory environment, financial planning and analysis, and risk management preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure and organize multiple deliverables
  • Sense of urgency and strong customer service ethic
