Finance Reporting Accountant (CPA)
Job Description
The financial reporting accountant is a key member of the Financial Reporting team responsible for recording financial transactions, accounting policy research, design and testing of internal controls, and preparation of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
*Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Accounting Transactions (40%):
- Manage the preparation and review of technical accounting transactions, including but not limited to revenue recognition, business combinations, equity method investments, foreign currency, and tax provisions.
Financial Statements (20%):
- Prepare and distribute accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP, including coordination with Allied's parent company.
Audit Coordination and Internal Controls (20%):
- Coordinate and manage external audits, including preparation of audit schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and implementing audit recommendations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial statements.
Accounting Policy (10%):
- Research relevant accounting guidance for emerging, complex, or unique transactions. Draft accounting policy memos and implement new accounting standards.
Special Projects (10%):
- Participate and/or lead certain continuous improvement projects to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the company's financial accounting process.
*Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field required.
- Master's Degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CPA candidate required
- 1-2 years of directly related work experience required.
