Role Purpose
Responsible for driving lending growth for Capricorn Society Financial Services (CSFS) by promoting and championing the CSFS value proposition to Market, along with supporting new loan origination and product and service development.
The role will strongly collaborate with internal Capricorn teams; specifically Processing, Sales distribution, Credit, Compliance, and Marketing, to develop and deliver sales strategies. The Finance Specialist will report into the Product Owner and broader portfolio team, plays a key role in influencing technical and go to market development of our finance product offering.
Skills, Knowledge and Attributes
- Customer-centric (Members, Suppliers, Users) led approach to understanding needs, problems and opportunities.
- Use your commercial lending background to support deal progression with the capability to workshop applications with key stakeholders.
- Promote and deliver exceptional service to customers and stakeholders whilst promoting efficiencies to deliver.
- Understanding of Business Improvement concepts to promote team productivity.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Understanding of business structures and business credit assessment.
- Ability to assess and write business credit
- Critical thinking - The ability to understand and analyse problems and find solutions.
- Problem solving - The ability to think creatively and work collaboratively with teams to solve business challenges.
- Decision making -The ability to make balanced commercial decisions
Experience
- 3-5 years commercial finance, and or business Asset Finance
- Proven experience in dealing with customers
Qualifications
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline.
Desired
- Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer (KYC)
