Position Overview:
As a Finance Specialist, this person will assist in all activities regarding the management of employee
compensation in the company and AD-HOC FP&A duties. You will undertake a variety of tasks such as entering payroll information, calculating wages and making payments and reconciling headcount. This individual will be experienced in entering data with attention to detail and will have good mathematics skills to make the necessary calculations.
Responsibilities:
- Be a primary backup for our Payroll Lead
- Perform Ad-Hoc Finance responsibilities including headcount reconciliation
- Collect, compile and update payroll records by recording changes including insurance coverage, loan payments, salary increases, etc.
- Oversee and ensure payroll precision – Limit discrepancies by analyzing information and ensuring accuracy
- Reconcile employee deductions; manage and calculate taxes and deductions
- Process new employees, terminations, transfers and promotions
- Develop, manage and maintain comprehensive payroll records
- Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations and established procedures
- Complete requests for pay-related documents including statements and verifications
- Complete other projects, tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience in payroll processing with a strong understanding of general accounting
- principles
- Experience in data collection, entry and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality
- Solid knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and regulations related to payroll
- Demonstrates capability to collaborate and execute tasks
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal)
- Outstanding organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter, highly motivated, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- System knowledge and experience using payroll software
- High School Diploma

- ADP experience
- Accounting background
