Finance Summer Intern

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Intern in our Boston office for the summer of 2023. The Finance Intern will be responsible for handling a wide range of support-related tasks focused on the sourcing and maintenance of debt capital for all of Cabot’s investment vehicles.  This intern will be a highly resourceful team player, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, and efficient.  The individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.    

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Support the Finance team in the sourcing, closing, and maintenance of different forms of institutional real estate debt
• Work with analysts and interns across different departments to support the financing of real estate investments
• Perform debt market research and maintain market data
• Special projects for the Finance and Accounting teams, as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven record of academic performance
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
• Proficiency with Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Access)
• Works effectively and cooperatively as a member of a team
• Demonstrates a strong attention to detail
• Effective problem-solving skills with ability to multi-task
• Basic finance, accounting and business knowledge with an expected graduation year of 2024 is preferred
