Position Summary:

The Finance Support Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and performing a wide variety of complex finance support duties for the Finance Functional Area. The duties include, preparation of reports, spreadsheets, payroll, processing of accounts payable and receivable and internal and external client communication. May participate in company audits and budget planning. This position reports to the Finance Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and completing client invoicing
  • Collection of accounts receivables
  • Prepare various financial reports
  • Accounts Payables
  • Develop and maintain procedure documentation
  • Professional customer service to internal and external customers during telephone contact and face-to-face interaction and responds appropriately to written correspondence.
  • Provide recommendations on improvements to procedures or processes.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ year accounting experience
  • Principles and practices.
  • Finance and budgeting.
  • Accounting and related software programs.
  • Work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Exercise good judgment.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in written form.
  • Interpret and apply administrative and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Develop alternative solutions and recommendations in support of stated goals.
  • Work with staff and accept direction on employee related improvements.
  • Work independently.
