What You Will Do:
The Financial Accountant is responsible for supporting the Gaming Controller of Caesars Sportsbook in preparing accounting records and administering financial processes.

• Understand underlying financial results and processes and suggest improvements for the business.
• Create journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Responsible to create and maintain monthly detailed complex spreadsheets.
• Knowledge of sports betting systems and underlying calculations
• Responsible for daily reconciliation of gaming reports
• Investigate reporting variances at a transactional level
• Work with IT/Tech departments to resolve system reporting issues
• Accounting knowledge to interpret reports and translate into accounting results or resolve problems
• Preparation of cashbook records, including reconciliations.
• Prepares monthly statements by collecting data; analyzing and investigating variances; summarizing data, information, and trends.
• Preparation of accounting records as required, including detailed summaries of required accounting entries in support of internal or external needs.
• Responds to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data.
• Support for Accounting Managers as required.
• Prepared to cover for and support their colleagues when required
• Build team collaboration and work as a cohesive unit.

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-3 years of gaming accounting experience
• Accounting or related degree a plus
• Understands finance and has experience working in an accounting function
• Experience with office work, preferably in a sports betting company
• Diligent and with an eye for detail
• STRONG Excel skills, macro knowledge a plus
• Working knowledge of JDE accounting software a plus
• Ability to work independently
• Accuracy a must
• Ability to demonstrate initiative
• Enjoy providing a service
• Keen to expand their expertise
• Works well with people at all levels

Essential Functions/Exposures:

• Must be able to sit for extended periods
• Must be able to type and talk on the phone for extended periods
• Regular attendance in the office
