What You'll Do

The Financial Accounting Manager will assist in the preparation of the financial reporting requirements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, perform key accounting analysis and assist in the monthly book closing process.

What you'll be working on

  • Lead the monthly books closing activities of subsidiaries
  • Prepare and review various accounting analysis
  • Review accounting information to ensure compliance with operating agreements and consistency with GAAP
  • Review and analyze complex and non-routine transactions
  • Work with team on the consolidation and preparation of monthly reports
  • Prepare monthly budget to actual comparison and investigate variances
  • Assist in preparation of reports to lenders, minority shareholders and others
  • Prepare financial reports as required by management on an ad hoc basis
  • Supervise other team members
  • Assist in the automation and streamlining of monthly book closing process
  • Provide financial advice by studying operational issues and develop recommendations to improve policies and procedures
  • Work on ad hoc financial projects/special projects

Must Haves

  • Graduate of an accounting degree, CPA preferred but not required
  • At least 7 years of experience; combined private and public accounting experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred but not required
  • Ability to prepare financial analysis and accounting schedules, as needed
  • Ability to analyze complex transactions and research appropriate accounting
  • Experience in evaluating and implementing accounting policies and practices
  • Must possess the following traits:
    • Confident and must possess strong communication skills - ability to coordinate with personnel across the organization
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks
    • Ability to supervise personnel and work well with other finance team members
    • Ability to organize and standardize accounting processes and procedures
    • Detail and deadline oriented
    • Excellent analytic skills, ability to identify variances or unusual trends that will require further investigation
    • Ability to prepare reports in an accurate and concise manner
    • Organized and possess good time management skills

Primary Location Salary Range:

$100,000 - $120,000
