Job Description:

Location: This position could primarily be remote, but proximity to an Elevance Health major office (pulse point) is a plus. Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model with pulse point sites used for collaboration, community, and connection.

The Financial Accounting & Reporting Manager is responsible for leading month-close and project teams through effective data gathering and utilization.

How You Will Make an Impact:

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for all Revenue and Receivables related to month-close functions, including reviewing and approving journal entries, reconciliations, and related reporting in markets of responsibility.
• Lead design of system applications for efficiencies.
• May lead teams of associates.
• Reviews accounting and financial analysis based on trend, plan and forecast.
• Lead various committees or work groups to develop, implement, modify, and document new or revised accounting processes, procedures, systems and tracking mechanisms.
• Ensures requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley are being met.
• Works on extremely complex problems/issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible factors, innovative solutions, and effective and collaborative leadership.
• Mentors, trains, and coaches lower level accountants.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires BA/BS in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 6 years experience in general accounting, finance, or budgeting and planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
• Experience utilizing SQL for data management, extraction and summarization of large data sets.
• Prior experience working with an automated general ledger system and/or data system strongly preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $86,800 to $156,240
