Financial Analysis Director

The Financial Analysis Director is responsible for coordinating financial management activities across Retirement Services division. This includes but is not limited to budget development, forecast development, business plan support, accounting support, budget and forecast performance management, and ad-hoc analysis to support operational decision making. This role acts as an advisor to the Retirement Services Leadership Team and provides financial guidance and leadership to enable efficient long-term profitability of the business unit. This role will accurately produce and provide analysis of current financial results to help business leaders understand variances from expected and prior periods as well as forecast impacts to the business. They will also provide thought leadership and technical support across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting
- On a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis develop financial results and provide explanations of the financial results to the divisional leadership and corporate finance, while ensuring the accuracy of the results.
- Forecasting and Modeling
- Develop and maintain robust financial models for all lines of business to support strategic business planning, annual goal setting, and long-range capital planning. Models will be used as the basis of important business decisioning.
- Special Projects/Corporate Requests
- Lead and execute special projects as well as field and answer corporate requests and ad hoc analysis. Additional involvement in potential acquisitions analysis and financial systems upgrades.
- Pricing
- Work with the pricing team to ensure pricing models meet corporate and professional standards and are designed to achieve the expected results.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting
- 5+ Years in Finance/Accounting role (preferably in the Retirement Services industry)
- Ability to cultivate strong working relationships with both internal and external contacts
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Self-motivated, energetic individual with a strong degree of intellectual curiosity
- Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
Salary Band: 07B
This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, WI, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
