Description
Responsible for the development and preparation of forecasting, analyzing, and evaluating financial plans and budgets for the assigned business unit or corporation. Develop and prepare annual operating budgets and periodic financial reports. Analyze, evaluate, and develop forecasting models. Identify to management potential areas of opportunities and risk. Design and develop strategic financial analysis projects, and manage multiple finance systems improvement projects for a business unit, Corporate finance function or major enterprise application. Manage the development of annual operating plan (AOP), simulation and budget/forecast, and manage the internal control process for finance systems. Make investment decisions by analyzing financial information to forecast business, industry, or economic conditions. Perform business case analysis using the appropriate robust financial tools to evaluate the financial viability of new business and product opportunities and support the Product Planning Director as required. Manage the ReCon Profitability System and Plant PLA submissions, which provide critical business intelligence for use by the Committee and Marketing groups. Prepare complex statistical reporting, including financial performance, variance explanation and cost analysis. Partner with the Business Unit Controller to interpret and apply consistent accounting practices and develop high-level corporate strategies. Ensure that the team has the appropriate resources for internal and external financial and process audits. Oversee financial analyses of major capital projects and overall capital management processes. Lead monthly and quarterly financial reporting activities and lead the implementation of new recommended changes to accounting practices and procedures. Manage financial functional excellence and establish finance quality standards.
Qualifications
Experience and Education:
Positions require a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 2 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Accountant, Auditor, or related position. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Accountant, Auditor, or related position. Experience to include: Prepare financial reports; Develop forecasting models; Annual operating plan (AOP); Internal control process; Cost analysis; Process audits; Financial reporting; Finance quality standards.
College, university, or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification required.
