Financial Analysis Senior Advisor - Work from Home - Express Scripts

This role will lead the Financial Oversight Team within the Services Department of the Regulated Markets Division. Responsibilities include financial planning & analysis deliverables, pricing analysis and development strategies, as well as, client billing and Express Scripts insurance company financial controls and regulatory filing compliance. The role has one direct report.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and 3-5 year strategic plans for Regulated Markets expenses and U.S. Government revenue and expenses for the Express Scripts' Medicare Part D Employer Group Prescription Drug Plans (EGWP PDP).
• Manage Other Service Revenue quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for Health Plan Clients with delegated PDP services.
• Effectively communicate financial results to Leadership across Regulated Markets and U.S. Government.
• Manage Regulated Markets quarterly underwriting expense allocation model, Insurance Company quarterly corporate overhead expense allocation model, and Regulated Markets annual labor allocation model in compliance with management service agreements.
• Oversee monthly-end close functions including reconciling the general ledger, preparing reclass/accrual entries, and actual performance analysis with root cause variance identification.
• Manage intercompany and client billing in accordance with contracts.
• Manage vendor invoice payments and purchase order tracking.
• Analyze Other Service Revenue across Regulated Markets Products to draw insights, benchmark against the market, and propose pricing updates.
• Partner with Actuary and Underwriting to analyze performance of insured EGWP clients to maximize enterprise value, increase financial controls, and improve competitiveness in the market.
• Prepare annual Medical Loss Ratio submission to CMS for Express Scripts' CMS contracts.
• Regulatory oversight for the two Express Scripts' PDP insurance companies.
• Assist with regulatory audits - CMS and State Department of Insurance.
• Assist with strategic project initiatives including insurance company consolidation and Cigna/Express Scripts EGWP PDP alignment.
• Implement process improvements and efficiency opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Accounting or related field with health insurance and/or Medicare Part D experience a plus
• 8+ years of financial analysis, accounting, actuarial or related experience
• Must be highly proficient in Excel and Power Point with SQL/VBA code and Access a plus.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills - ability to draw insights from data, effectively communicate results and push for actionable solutions.
• Ability to partner cross-functionally and to think strategically to successfully drive results.
• Exemplary interpersonal skills/strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Effective leadership, prioritization, and management of multiple deliverables in a dynamic environment.
• Motivated, reliable, and responsible with pride in work, proven work ethic, & attention to detail.
• This role is Flex/WFH which allows most work to be performed at home or on occasion at a Cigna office location.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 103,700 - 172,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
