If you are a Financial Analyst professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you. Based in our Houston, TX location, you'll engage in Financial Analysis activities integral to the Emerson financial planning cycle and the communication of financial metrics to our Senior Management. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the Actuation Technologies' leadership team and colleagues from around the world.

AS A FINANCIAL ANALYST, YOU WILL:

• Be a key member for the Global HQ Finance department of Actuation Technologies business unit, a $400Musd enterprise part of the Final Control platform within the Emerson Company.
• Be a liaison with World Areas and Actuation Technologies' leadership team for communication and reporting.
• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annually updates to the Actuation Technologies' Financial Planning Cycle which consist of monthly financial statements reporting, quarterly POR submission, annual forecast creation, board meetings, strategics reviews, profit and financial reviews among others.
• Consolidate world areas quarterly and annually supplemental reporting required by corporate Automation Solution platform.
• Drive and implement automation opportunities in our regular financial reporting procedures.
• Collaborate with other functional areas within the organization during preparation of financial information.
• Create, analyze, and review ad-hoc management inquires of key financial metrics for decision support for senior leadership as requested.

WHO YOU ARE:

You have strong analytical, organizational, detail oriented, solving problems skills and are result driven. You relate comfortably with people across levels, functions, cultures, and geography, with the ability to manage diverse relationships. You are resourceful, have the ability to consult diverse resources, ask more questions in order to understand complex work processes, define the problems and make learning a priority and a goal. You integrate quantitative and qualitative information to draw accurate conclusions by gathering relevant information and drilling down to root causes.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or similar required.
• A minimum of 3 or more years of work experience in Accounting or Finance field.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects.
• Demonstrate solid accounting and USGAAP knowledge.
• Strong analytical, organizational, detail oriented and solving problems skills.
• Demonstrate patience, perseverance, and flexibility.
• Legal Authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• HFM knowledge is a plus.
• CPA, CFE, CFA or finance-related certification preferred.

Flexible Work Schedule - Remote Work Option:

After 6 months of strong performance, this role has the flexibility of a remote work option two days a week. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and efficiency as we serve the needs of our customers.
