Gas South Financial Analysts work in a fast-paced, challenging, and innovative environment. A successful analyst is always looking for the ‘why’ behind the data and leveraging their intuition to guide their analyses. As a Gas South Financial Analyst, you would play a critical role in business decisions, get to work closely with company leadership, and make a direct impact.

Other stuff we like:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance is required
  • One plus year of relevant experience in a financial planning and analysis role in a company, public accounting audit experience or other relevant internship experience
  • Highly skilled in Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial statements
  • Accounting software (Sage Intacct), financial planning tools (Adaptive Insights, Vena)
  • Data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Manipulating and analyzing large datasets, using SQL, Python, R, or SAS
  • Experience presenting and delivering content clearly and concisely to key stakeholders

More details on what you would be responsible for:

  • Consolidate and analyze historical financial and operational data to produce budgets and forecasts
  • Support the month-end accounting close process and analytics
  • Review actual financial results against forecasted data and determine causes of variances
  • Build and validate models from large datasets
  • Assist with preparation of the annual budget
  • Make strategic recommendations for solutions to business problems
  • Improve operational and analytical efficiency
  • Provide clear interpretation and presentation of financial data and analysis to stakeholders
