About the job:Â
The ideal candidate will be responsible for using their analytical mindset to analyze and interpret financial data, then relating it to potential business trends and issues. This candidate will feel comfortable using insights they have discovered to communicate important themes and discoveries to company leadership.

- Experienced financial analyst with a highly analytical mindset and strong attention to detail
- Great work ethic and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing startup environment
- Has a “can-do” attitude and is willing to take on ad-hoc tasks and challenges when needed
- A collaborative spirit with excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the CFO and leadership team to build out key FP&A processes
- Identifying trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with the FP&A team to lead the budgeting and forecasting process by gathering, analyzing, and challenging data on forecasted revenues and expenses
- Prepare analysis for monthly and quarterly financial reconciliation and reporting, including variance analysis with associated commentary and Board Meeting presentation material
- Develop, produce, and track key financial metrics and financial indicators
- Partner closely with leadership and various internal stakeholders to establish and present analysis and reporting metrics
- Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function
- Take ownership of ad-hoc projects as requested by senior management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 2+ years of corporate finance and financial analysis experience
- Moderate understanding of US GAAP
- Previous B2B and tech startup experience preferredÂ
- Experience with QuickBooks or ERP systems
- Strong detail orientation, especially when analyzing, presenting, and defending financial forecasts and assumptions
- Effective communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets analysis and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills and experience in financial modeling
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI preferred but not requiredÂ
- Investment Banking or Private Equity experience a plus, but not required
