Universal Music Group is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the UMG's eCommerce & Label Services group. The roll will be a key member of the Finance team and will help the planning function grow in the eCommerce & Label service group. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial, analytical, and business aptitude. This role will have responsibilities across long term holistic financial planning as well planning across individual stores and campaigns. Reporting into the Senior Director of FP&A, you will assist in the preparation of the annual plan as well as the re-forecast process and any ad-hoc needs.
How you'll CREATE:
- Assist in financial planning and analysis across as it pertains to revenue, cogs and opex functions.
- Participate in annual strategic planning and budgeting, monthly forecasting, and management reporting processes.
- Manage the external client reporting process including creating payable/receivable statements, sending statements, on-boarding and communicating with external clients not under the UMG umbrella
- Collaborate with other departments and cross functional teams
- Perform Variance and Ad-Hoc analysis
- Help develop store and label level P&L's
- Present data driven information in an actionable digestible way
Bring your VIBE:
- Strong understanding of eCommerce business technology & operations
- 1-3 years of corporate finance - related experience and/or accounting professional looking to make transition into corporate finance with consistent career progression
- Experience in using financial analyses to inform business decisions • Strategic thinking / business analytical skills
- Comfortable in ambiguity, thrive through change, are highly adaptable and can create clarity and focus in a dynamic environment
- Advanced skills in Excel and Power Point and knowledge of business intelligence tools
- SQL knowledge a plus
- Experience in Consumer Products and/or a manufacturing environment a plus
- Experience in variance analysis and account reconciliations
- A thoughtful collaborator, and great listener, keenly focused on understanding business challenges, building strong relationships and driving even stronger outcomes
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

$45,002.88 - $88,513.33
