Not only is our technology helping people and companies around the world every day to make better-informed plans and decisions, but we are also on a journey to improve the processes for the entire organization with innovation, speed, and collaboration. You will support the Financial Shared Services departments which includes Workplace, Real Estate, Shared Services, and Procurement functions.
The Finance Analyst will work on both strategic and operational aspects of the Anaplan procurement program. This includes working with our internal customers and external partners to ensure operational excellence and employee experience in supporting and driving initiatives to lead the expense and global corporate card process. The analyst works with our expense and global card vendors and internal customer to maintain highest level of services are being delivered. The Finance analyst reports within our finance center of excellence organization and along with having an extensive expense and accounting industry knowledge the analyst is expected to follow high procurement standards in working with suppliers.
The position will require to work closely with cross functional teams of Finance, Legal, IT, Security, Privacy etc. Additionally, the position is expected to handle various Procurement transformation activities for about 25% of the scope.
Responsibilities of Expense and Corporate Card Analyst (75%)
- Review and process employee expense claims for all employees in Chrome River (expense tool) and reconcile back to the GL
- Identify and report on reimbursement problems and answer employees’ questions accurately
- Know the company policy related to employee expenses/reimbursement
- Work closely with procurement to maintain company expense policies and update where required
- Deliver reimbursement education to new company joiners
- Assist accounting with month-end reconciliations and accruals relating to expenses
- Research country-specific rules around expenses
- Audit expense reports and review all policy exceptions including:
- Verify expenses are in accordance with company policy.
- Verify receipts are attached and or request additional information/backup support as needed
- Verify expense coding accuracy
- Communicate with employees regarding any policy violations
- Support global expense email alias and promptly escalate high priority inquires.
- Communicate regularly with employees, ensuring they are aware of the policies and processes via email/Slack.
- Monthly BTA card reconciliation in 18 markets (when fully rolled out)
- Track, report, and analyze travel data monthly, with a specific focus on behavioral metrics, KPI’s and buying patterns, to ID opportunities to drive savingsÂ
- Benchmarking, trending, data mining, and data analytics
- KPI Tracking

- Create and maintain automated and non-automated report schedules
Responsibilities of Transformation & Communications Program (25%)
- Digital transformation and change management coordinator or support as needed
- Support Procurement technology projects launches examples, further enhancements of Procure to Pay, contract and supplier management
- Participates in definition of continuous progress on Procurement Digitalization
- Promotion of User Experience, E2E approaches driven by Speed and Simplicity
JOB SKILLS
This position requires exemplary communication skills; demonstrable initiative, creativity, and flexibility; ability to work independently and effectively in groups; excellent writing skills; and strong organizational skills.
- Experience in expense management and reconciliation process that spans markets globally is required
- Preference: proven experience in the global corporate card management with roles including expense management, expense audit, accounting, etc.
- Program/project management experience and/or certification preferred
- Requires a strong knowledge of procurement practices and techniques
- Must be willing to train and educate users in new processes, policies, and procedures or technologies
- Must be able to achieve demanding deadlines without requiring constant follow-up
- Able to reorder priorities on short-notice and adapt to changing requirements
- Ability to work non-standard US hours (PST, EST, IST) when necessary to be able to communicate with our global teams.
- Serves as a primary liaison with Anaplan’s internal customer and is the first point of contact for issues and questions related to supplier-provided web-based registration tools.
- Serves as primary coordinator for assistance to end users on routine questions and relevant cross-functional teams to ensure timely responses and notifications.
- Work with minimal direction, under strict time constraints and with competing priorities.
- Use initiative and sound judgment in analysis of bids and specifications.
- Keep informed of new technology, trends, and techniques in the areas of public purchasing and expense management.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience accounting or business operations
- 2-3 years related experience in procurement, accounting, or international operations
- Willingness to work flexible hours that accommodate international employees, as needed    Â
- Strong analytical skills and aptitude for details
- Experience developing and/or delivering training to diverse audiences
- Ability to meet deadlines and set priorities, particularly if there are time constraints
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and procurement tools
