The Financial Analyst is a high-visibility role tasked with ensuring key decision-making leaders have the information and understanding they need to successfully run the business. The role is responsible for developing and reporting metrics on how the company is performing both financially and operationally. This role is also charged with building out all levels of assigned departmental expense forecasting and integrating the process with accounting.
What you'll do
- Perform various ad-hoc including sensitivity or competitive analytics or risk assessments.
- Provide system administrator support for FP&A tools such as Workday Adaptive, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Lead the annual budget and monthly re-forecast management packages.
- Support the Five-Year business planning process by developing, enhancing and maintaining system and reporting capabilities.
- Assist leadership in analyzing, maintaining, and understanding key performance metrics for the consolidated business.
- Produce the quarterly/annual financial reporting of the company under both MGMT and GAAP reporting rules for external entities.
- All other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience.
- Financial systems background preferred (Workday Adaptive experience a plus).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
- A highly motivated, self-starter who brings a curious approach to understanding and solving problems.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage workload in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Outstanding critical thinking skills; ability to pierce through to the essential underlying drivers, identify problems and develop models and analysis that form the basis for executive decision-making.
- Ability to arrive at practical, actionable solutions that are executable and with a commitment to a sound financial operating discipline and the company's strategic goals.
- Protect and take care of our company and member's data every day by committing to work within our company ethics and policies.
- Strong administrative/technical skills; Comfort working on a PC using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), IM/video conferencing (Teams & Zoom), and telephones efficiently.
- Trustworthy and accountable behavior, capable of viewing and maintaining confidential information daily.
