Join our team as a Financial Analyst supporting our Retail organization! In this visible role, you will analyze and interpret financial data, using that to prepare timely and accurate financial reports for communication to various levels of management to influence decision making. You will identify opportunities and make recommendations for cost savings which drive improved profitability. Use your process improvement and creative thinking abilities to look at process differently and improve existing processes and develop new ones.
What this role does:
- Prepare monthly financial analysis reports, journal entries, code expenses to the appropriate GL number, as well as year-end audit schedules.
- Compiles data and prepare reports that track financial performance compared to budgets/forecasts, analyze trends, while effectively communicating findings (both written and oral).
- Investigates and research SG&A expenses to ensure data integrity.
- Assists in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for the Retail Division.
- Identifies opportunities and make recommendations for cost savings to drive improved profitability.
- Assists with updating Store Proforma's for profitability by store and Real Estate negotiations.
- Completes Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
What we seek:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Advanced certification (CPA, CMA, CFA, MBA) a plus.
- Internship experience or up to 3 years of experience in a Finance related position.
- Proficiency in Excel
- Attention to Detail
