Position at SBM Management

The Financial Analyst will be part of a new real estate development group at SBM Management known as Somers West. We are in the process of designing and developing more than 11,000 residential lots and several million square feet of commercial property in the Sacramento Area and Hawaii. You will be a part of a team that is building complete communities from undeveloped land to finished, sustainable, and cutting-edge neighborhoods where people desire to live.

Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate and analyze financial and development data - revenue assumptions, cost estimates, and financing strategies
  • Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis
  • Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to increase revenue, reduce costs and improve financial performance
  • Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
  • Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
  • Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
  • Consult with management to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making within the broadest scope
  • Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function
  • Build and maintain financial reports and dashboards for internal management, providing accurate and timely financial and operational recommendations.
  • Extract, combine, and summarize data to analyze the financial impact of new initiatives, and effectively communicate key findings to senior leadership to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions
  • Develop metrics and reports to provide controllership to new and existing projects
  • Support ad hoc analysis and special projects
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field with 5 to 8 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Accounting and Finance experience in the real estate industry.
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and work under pressure without sacrificing quality.
  • Must have the ability to work independently with strong initiative and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • History in establishing proformas and business plans for horizontal and/or vertical construction of master planned communities, preferred.
  • 100% vaccination status required for site access*
Compensation: $83,000-87,000 per year
