Financial Analyst

If so, we want to talk to you! Copart's Accounting team is looking for a Financial or Procurement Analyst with awesome MS Excel skills to serve our Dallas Headquarters office. The successful candidate will have a great "Can Do!" attitude and be willing to grow into increasingly more challenging roles within the department. This is a fast-paced work environment that values innovation.

A degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management or General Business is preferred but not required. In this role, you will assist our Accounting team in procurement, accounts payable, identification of cost savings opportunities, Business modeling, and the running of ad hoc reports for management.

Job Duties:

• Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
• Analyze financial and procurement data and create financial models for decision support.
• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support.
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
• Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
• Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials.
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
• Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
• Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.

Required Skills and Experience

• 1-3+ years of business finance, accounting, procurement, or other relevant experience
• High proficiency with financial modeling and techniques
• Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
• BA or BS degree required (Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Supply Chain Management)
• Strong analytical and data gathering skills.
• Good business acumen
• Strong quantitative and analytical competency
• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication
