Financial Analyst

Supernal is at the forefront of creating emerging mobility solutions that will foster the development of human-centered cities. We are designing a completely new electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft tailored to the mobility needs of future cities. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial planning/ budgeting, analytical support, and accounting compliance for dynamic, growing divisions. The role is responsible for assisting in developing budgeting, forecasting, and reporting finance and accounting activities within the organization.

This position will be required to work on-site 5 days a week.

• Conduct financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting to assist in financial planning and analysis
• Analyze and interpret financial data, identifying trends and potential areas for improvement
• Prepare regular financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for management and partners
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial support for various projects and initiatives
• Conduct in-depth variance analysis and provide recommendations for cost control and optimization
• Perform financial performance evaluations and assess key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Support the preparation of financial documents and reports for external audits
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and standard processes in financial analysis

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; with a Minimum of three (3) years of experience in financial planning and forecasting (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered) is preferred.
• Strong financial management (budget, forecasting, expense management, financial modeling/ analysis) skills
• Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis
• Knowledge of GAAP (General Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards
• Thorough understanding of project management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
• Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality
• 3+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and using financial software
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial modeling tools

• Master’s degree in relevant field preferred
• Experience with bringing to bear data analytics and using automation for monitoring
• Significant experience in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey sophisticated financial information to non-financial partners.
• Diligent with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Confirmed ability to work independently and in a team environment, leading tasks and deadlines
