The Financial Analyst will support the Project Development and M&A teams with broad responsibilities and exposure to all aspects of a renewable energy company, including financial modelling and assisting in making key investment decisions. As an integral member of the Project Development team, this position will interact with all components of Ameresco's business.

Responsibilities:

Create, update and provide quality-control of financial models for proposals and active deals across multiple simultaneous transactions;

Create and maintain financial models in connection with new capital investments, M&A, project development, and related third party corporate and project financings;

Analyze strategic and financial opportunities and present recommendations to senior management;

Interface with current capital partners, commercial and investment banks, and prospective new investors to drive key business decisions, market and structure deals, facilitate due diligence, and assist in closing documentation and asset management;

Engage the development team, engineering, legal, tax and accounting to identify project challenges and risks and formulate strategies and solutions;

Perform analysis and research for the support of negotiations and transaction execution for project financings, sales and acquisitions;

Research tax equity financing opportunities to monetize the projects' tax attributes; and

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in finance, accounting, economics, or engineering

Minimum of 3 years experience in finance, accounting, analytics or related field

Additional Qualifications:

MBA preferred

Strong quantitative, analytical and communication skills

Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Experience with financial modeling employing Microsoft Excel

Strong interest in the energy industry, particularly renewables

Ability to make informed decisions in a quick and nimble fashion

Ability to work within a team with a positive attitude

Enthusiastic about the renewable energy industry

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a fast-paced environment

Work across many different functions including finance, accounting, legal, operations
