This role provides a tremendous learning opportunity, as part of the Asset Management Finance Team within Fidelity Management & Research Company (the investment management arm of Fidelity) to develop and enhance essential finance skills, while using the latest tools and technology and working with a dynamic team.

The AM Finance Team collaborates with a variety of stakeholders including senior management, central finance and the strategy team to drive finance initiatives and deliverables across Asset Management. The candidate will focus on providing financial support primarily for the Fixed Income and Quant Divisions within Asset Management with possible additional support to the Equity Division. As a member of AM Finance the candidate will also have multiple opportunities to lead or be part of critical short and long term finance AM wide initiatives.

A successful candidate will need to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

The Purpose of Your Role

  • Provide financial support and analysis for the Fixed Income, Equity and Quant Research & Investment Divisions
  • Support the planning process including multi-year plan, operating plan, budget and forecasts
  • Provide senior finance executives with insightful analysis
  • Drive short and long term finance initiatives
  • Support business case development and analysis
  • Assist in development of executive presentations for senior management to help inform decision making

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent; MBA or advance degree a plus
  • 2+ years of professional experience in Finance with a successful track record of in financial modeling and analysis
  • Familiarity with financial databases, planning solutions, and visualization tools a plus. (Power BI, Tableau, and Anaplan)
  • Experience in financial services is preferred
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and relevance and reliably meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to envision the "big picture" while maintaining close attention to detail.
  • Verifies, correlates, compares, and organizes data to present it in a way that facilitates analysis and forecasting.
  • Demonstrates understanding of process flow and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and solve a variety of moderately complex problems
  • Demonstrate confidence in explaining, defending and or challenging analytical findings
  • Displays strong desire and willingness to learn new skills
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and hardworking self-starter and team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - can articulate clearly with all levels of associates within the organization.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
