Financial Analyst

Job Summary

Ability to perform moderately complex analysis for assigned financial area. Present recommendations to management. Identify and investigate issues related to assigned projects. May perform business partnering, analytics, business plan, monthly forecasting and complete period close tasks. Minimum 3 yrs related experience.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead weekly yield loss reporting process including completing inventory adjustments, trending yield performance and investigating large losses.
• Complete weekly labor report including variance analysis
• Own the monthly forecast for Maintenance Spend and lead weekly meetings with MRO buyers to track spend to forecast
• Lead weekly finance meeting to review results with operations & leadership
• Responsible for analyzing monthly overhead spend by department and communicating with cost center owners
• Assist in the preparation and compilation of the annual operating plan for yield and overhead accounts
• Participate in month-end/quarter-end close activities to ensure completion of assigned tasks and journal entries, including explanation of variances to plan.
• Participate in finance and plant wide projects, projects will vary depending on needs. Financial support for cost savings analysis, tracking and reporting.
• Active involvement and participation in plant continuous improvement and CPS activities

Position Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required 3+ years of profession accounting of financial experience; 1-2 years of cost accounting experience preferred
• Knowledge of financial systems and general accounting concepts
• Ability to develop complex analysis with minimal direction
• Strong cross functional partnership ability across the organization
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc), with heavy emphasis on excel pivot tables
• Experience with SAP or other software tools preferred
