Position at SBM Management

The Financial Analyst role will support the development and usage of business analytics for the various operational units. The individual will work with development partners, IT, and key stakeholders to provide timely and impactful reporting and analytic tools to the organization.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc.) taking into account company's goals and financial standing
• Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
• Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
• Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis
• Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
• Identify trends, advise company and recommend actions to a senior financial analyst or other team members based on sound analysis
• Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
• Consult with management to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making within the broadest scope
• Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function
• Build and maintain financial reports in the Company's financial reporting information system
• Help with the design, development and maintenance of automated financial reports and dashboards for internal management, providing accurate and timely financial and operational recommendations.
• Extracting, combining, and summarizing data to analyze the financial impact of new initiatives, and effectively communicating key findings to senior leadership to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions
• Develop metrics and reports to provide controllership to new programs
• Support ad hoc analysis and special projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from a College or University or three to four years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in Finance, Information Technology or Accounting preferred. Experience with JD Edwards and Hyperion preferred.
• May be required to have a valid driver's license.
• Experience in financial planning, and analysis, management reporting and project management, preferably in a labor-intensive industry.

Compensation: $83,000-87,000 per year
