Job Summary
The Financial Analyst, supports the Operations Controller as the finance partner in driving and leading the collection of plant data, operations reporting, compliance, and implementation of process improvements for the St. Paul, MN location
Responsibilities:
- Assist in annual AOP (annual operating plan), standard cost setting process, forecasting, and reporting of the income statement and balance sheet
- Establish standard cost of new items as requested by internal product teams, and conduct cost maintenance on established items.
- Support annual physical inventory process and related reconciliations
- Support CapEx process and related tracking reconciliations
- Analyze transaction errors to insure proper impact on perpetual and GL records
- Analyze variances to determine cause
- Drives continuous process improvement
- Supports new product development, productivity initiatives, and benefits tracking
- Analyzes shipments, standard cost valuations, production variance, and other cost analysis
- Prepares and analyzes cost reports
- Prepare forecasts for shipments, absorption, inventory, variances, etc.
- Partner with Controller on the monthly close process, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries
- Complete all monthly reports on a timely basis with zero defects
- Assist in the education and compliance of financial processes and policies
- Support compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and related audits
- Participate in operational excellence initiatives to support achievement of organizational goals
- Other AdHoc request/projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related discipline required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting and/or finance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Oracle R12, and OneStream Planning a plus
- Strong PC Skills required: Advanced Excel Skills, PowerPoint, and Teams

- Skills and competencies should include verbal and written communication, attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving, and the ability to work independently and, also, in a team environment
- Proven success implementing process improvement and change management initiatives strongly preferred
- Must be able to adapt to change in a fast-paced team environment
- A deep and broad knowledge of manufacturing processes, generally accepted accounting practices/principles, is required
