Financial Analyst

Tenneco is looking for a Financial Analyst responsible for performing and participating in objective financial review and analyses of fixed capital and other investment proposals, special financial studies and financial planning activities involved in the evaluation of strategic, profit and operating plans. In addition, assist in closing the books on a monthly basis and general ledger account reconciliation including accruals and prepaid. Provide management with various reports and financial data to support effective operation of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure that financial data is entered correctly into SAP and OneStream.
• Perform required cross-checks to ensure quality and integrity of data entered.
• Assist in month-end closing and preparation and analysis of financial statements.
• Assist in preparation of monthly, annual and strategic business plans.
• Assist in development and analysis of the plant's physical inventory.
• Assist in conducting periodic fixed asset inventory.
• Provide suggestions related to process improvement as appropriate.
• Responsible for GVS accounting policies and procedures and assure accounting activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

B.A. in Accounting, or Finance

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• At minimum: 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles.
• SAP knowledge preferred.
