Cohere Health is illuminating healthcare for patients, their doctors, and all those who are important in a patient’s healthcare experience, both in and out of the doctors office.  Founded in August, 2019, we are obsessed with eliminating wasteful friction patients and doctors experience in areas that have nothing to do with health and treatment, particularly for diagnoses that require expensive procedures or medications.  To that end, we build software that is expressly designed to ensure the appropriate plan of care is understood and expeditiously approved, so that patients and doctors can focus on health, rather than payment or administrative hassles.

Opportunity Overview:

As Cohere has grown in size and scope, the company’s financial activities have grown increasingly complex and time-consuming, necessitating an addition to the finance department to assist with monthly forecasting, headcount management, budgeting, and other ad hoc financial support.

What you will do:

• Assist in the development and analysis of the monthly forecast and annual plan
• Analyze financial and operational results versus forecast and plan, investigate variances and communicate findings to management team
• Assist in preparation of financial and strategic presentation materials associated with monthly/quarterly management and Board of Directors meetings
• Develop and maintain Oracle/NetSuite Planning and Excel models and analyses to aid in the validation of existing forecasts, support strategic initiatives and help review critical financial decisions
• Work closely with senior leadership to monitor financial performance 
• Regularly perform ad-hoc analysis as required

Your background & requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field with emphasis in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
• 1-2 years of experience with budgeting, forecasting, or financial modeling
• Advanced Excel skills
• Mac OS
• Familiarity with Oracle/NetSuite Planning and Budgeting tools a plus
• Familiarity with Tableau a plus
• Strong communication skills with senior leadership teams
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Detail oriented
