Financial Analyst

OVERVIEW:

The Financial Analyst participates in the analytical and financial reporting activities of Comecer Inc., providing reports and analysis directly to the Group Controller as well as to the Director of Comecer NA. This involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger in JD Edwards ERP System and provides support for financial reporting in OneStream reporting system. Specific sections include payroll, account reconciliation, fixed asset and costing systems, divisional compliance processes, and assisting in general accounting and reporting functions

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounting & Reporting

• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Manage Customer accounts, invoicing, and past due collections.
• Inventory reporting.
• Participate in counting of Physical Inventories and variance analysis.
• Assist in preparation of departmental expenses and labor cost analysis.
• Prepare, maintain, and reconcile order booking and backlog reports.
• Prepare and report bookings on a weekly basis.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities, Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash Flow.
• Provide support to the Group Controller in completing the daily accounting duties, month-end, and year-end closing process in a timely fashion (Data upload to OneStream reporting system).
• Develop and/or prepare ad hoc financial analysis as required.
• Participate in the preparation of divisional budgets and forecasts.
• Coordinate activities with the Sales & Service Administrator
• Work on special projects as requested.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures.
• Support and work with other departments to strengthen Internal Controls.
• Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with ATS code of business conduct.
• Ensure that all business activities are performed in accordance with the ATS Confidentiality Policy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree or post-secondary education in Accounting/Finance
• General Accounting & Reporting experience (5 years minimum) in a manufacturing environment within an ERP/MRP system is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel is required.
• Exposure to JD Edwards and OneStream would be beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively with internal, cross-functional teams and customers according to deadlines.
• Self-driven, attentive to detail, consistent, and process driven.
• Fluent in English, written and oral, fluent in Italian is an asset
• Excellent time-management skills
• Must be eligible and able to travel domestically & internationally within 30 days from hire date and legally eligible to operate a vehicle, as this is an essential job function.
