Financial Analyst

Opportunity Overview: Financial Analyst - 4-6 month Contract / Remote

WECTEC Staffing/Westinghouse is looking for a Financial Analyst. This is a key position, partnering with Operational leaders to appropriately analyze, forecast and report financial results of the Americas Outage & Maintenance Services business sub-segments. The role will also have responsibility for accelerating reporting and analytics automation in collaboration with the Business Reporting & Analytics team.

What your day-to-day looks like:

• Prepare, monitor, and/or review analysis of sub-segment P&L and Balance Sheet
• Prepare and/or review sub-segments 5-year business plans, financial forecasts, and periodic updates, including claims and revenue recognition.
• Develop and monitor cost estimates and track performance against budgeted spend.
• Analyze variances and develop improvement action recommendations.
• Prepare, support and/or deliver analysis in support of Monthly Business Review
• Prepare and/or oversee accounting entries, reporting and analysis of sub-segment contracts and settlements.
• Prepare and/or monitor special ad hoc financial reporting requests to meet business segment needs.
• Train other analysts as necessary

What we need to see from you:

• Previous experience in finance or accounting in a large organization
• Detail oriented with ability to manage competing priorities in deadline driven environment.
• Ability to analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
• Ability to communicate sensitive, complex or difficult information using simple terms.
• Ability to question and challenge status quo to drive efficiencies and identify opportunities to enhance profitability.
• Advanced Microsoft Office user & SAP knowledge would be a strong plus

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or Finance
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• 5+ years FP&A experience
• SAP & BPC experience preferred.
