Job Description:
Description: The Financial Analyst may be responsible for the preparation of monthly reports, annual budgets, reconciliation of monthly activity or agreements, oversight of various capital and accounting projects, bi-weekly payroll reporting and various requests, recurring and one time reports.
Typical Duties:
- Reviews and analyzes monthly budget reports comparing actual to budget, capital spend, etc. using standards of measurement developed to evaluate performance and works with leaders to explain variances. This could involve various Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Prepares written and oral presentations covering complex technical or business matters in a manner tailored to the background, experience, and time constraints of the audience.
- Requires ability to summarize and adapt financial information to graphs, pie charts, bullet points and key conclusions in language readily understood by non-technicians.
- Maintains monthly files to support budgeting, reporting, labor, capital, cost accounting, etc.
- Preparation and distribution of the bi-weekly productivity reports and assists in preparation of month end reporting packet and annual budget.
- Set up of capital assets in the ERP system on a monthly basis with reconciliation between capital budgeting tool and ERP system.
- Coordinates and submits information for projects as assigned.
- Prepare audit schedules as needed.
- Prepares analysis to support patient level costing.
- Preparation of surveys from multiple outside agencies and provides data extracts to external sources.
- Reviews contracts and recommends appropriate adjustments to monthly expense and liabilities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field from an accredited College or University.
- CPA or MBA in Accounting, Business Administration, Information technology or related field.
- 2 plus years of experience as a CPA.
