Job Description
The Financial Analyst supports Verisys by performing a variety of financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, building financial models, assisting with financial planning, performing research and analysis, preparing reports, and assisting with close processes.
Please note this is a remote opportunity but you "MUST" live in one of the following states to be considered: CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, ME, MD, MO, MI, NC, OH, OK, PA, UT, TN, WI, VA
Having a dedicated location to work and be productive, free from distractions is a must!
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis
• Work cross functionally with Information Technology on profitability reporting for products
• Leading and simplifying current FP&A processes
• Turning data analysis into actionable insights that drive the corporate goals and overall company growth
• Analyze and report on current financial status
• Conduct thorough research of historical financial data
• Compare anticipated and actual results and identify areas of improvement
• Prepare financial reports and analysis including budgeting/forecasting activities, identifying performance trends and areas of improvement.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions
• Track and report Capitalized Software spend and targeted efficiency gains
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Progressive experience in creating and managing budgets and forecast process
• Experience working with senior leadership
• Demonstrated experience taking ownership of measuring and reporting performance.
• Strong experience building financial models in Excel
• Experience with PowerBi and/or Planful are a plus
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts
• Demonstrable strategic thinking skills
• Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
• Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting and how it applies to FP&A
Education/Experience:
Required:
• Proven work experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role
• BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
• 3-5 years of relevant Finance experience
Preferred:
• Relevant certification (e.g. CFA) is a plus
