Financial Analyst
Location: Primarly remote with occasional in office. Individual needs to live in either Dallas-Ft.Worth, TX area, or Memphis, TN area
What you will do:
- Support BU Controller with data requests, dashboard creation, and variance analysis
- Analyze financial data to evaluate past, present, and future financial performance, providing the foundation for decision-making and strategic planning
- Collaborate closely with BU Controller during planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to develop comprehensive financial plans for multiple segments
- Be a collaborative finance partner to multiple entity leaders within the business unit
- Assist BU Controller in the month-end close processes for multiple entities
- Produce & distribute monthly financial and ad hoc reports to business unit leadership
- Assist BU Controller with managing all aspects of Business Unit financial information as well as special projects for centralized corporate leadership group
What you bring:
- Keen analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Intermediate or Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel & other Microsoft Office programs
- High proficiency in financial modeling techniques
- Knowledge of SAP ERP accounting software, PeopleSoft, or Power BI is a plus
- Ability to work well independently as well as in collaboration with others
- Project management skills and ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
What you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, or analysis
Travel
Travel is minimal, any travel would be primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Â
This job operates in a professional office environment. Largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. The ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PC’s, laptop, telephone will be required.
