Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The Program Manager, Accounts Payable is a key driver of critical improvement initiatives, adopting a programmatic approach to the continued development of the Accounts Payable (AP) support model for Bon Secours Mercy Health. This includes driving ownership of key deliverables across multiple businesses, tech teams, and other stakeholders in order to implement scalable solutions. The role uses complex problem solving skills, manages multiple high visibility priorities, and maintains a keen attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations.

Essential Job Functions

  • Drives program objectives and provides program management and define project plans, manage implementation activities, and develop processes, documentation and communications for program and process rollout and ongoing support.
  • Scales services and tools by designing processes and procedures that scale with the business' growth in volume and complexity
  • Defines key performance indicators and develops metrics and service level agreements for core programs and processes, and track delivery against program objectives.
  • Communicates new or updated programs, policies, and processes to leaders, employees, and cross functional organizations.
  • Collaborates and builds relationships with system and business owners globally to ensure process excellence and the highest degree of controllership.
  • Drives resolution of critical issues for critical customers as well as support processes and systems deep dives to ensure root cause analysis and correction resulting in improved customer experience.
  • Negotiates efficient and reliable processes and policies across partner teams to systematically eliminate dependencies and defects.
  • Liaises with AP Operations Teams to set near, medium, and long-term operational goals for improvements.

Licensing/Certification

Project Management Professional (PMP) (preferred)

Green Belt or Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma (preferred)

Education

Bachelors in Business or related field (required)

Work Experience

Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Experience in accounts payable or other financial operations functions

5+ years of experience delivering cross functional projects

5+ years of experience in program or project management

5+ years of experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
