Financial Analyst reports to the Director of Business FP&A:
What You'll Do:
- Prepare Budget vs Actuals (BVA) reports for executive leadership team and budget owners across the company each month, which include working in Adaptive and Office Connect
- Coordinate with Accounting on month-end close processes which may include comments on general ledger expense type, department and function, and approver of each the expenses
- Be able to review large amounts of raw data, organize the data in a way that is digestible for the FP&A team or other leaders across the company, and present your findings
- Communicate monthly and on an on-going basis with budget owners and FP&A team, and be comfortable speaking with and interacting with senior leaders across the company
- Keep data in Adaptive financial planning up to date for your coverage areas, including but not limited to existing headshot, new hire headcount, vendor expenses, contract labor, and CapEx
- Assist in refining our Workday Adaptive financial planning and analysis tool
- Work in tandem with Procurement processes for vendor requests, budget owner approval, finance approval, all while balancing a budget for several departments
- Work collaboratively with a diverse group of peer Financial Analysts and Senior Financial Analysts to drive business initiatives and team priorities
- Recommend process improvement and policy enhancements to drive continuous improvement
- Ability to learn and grow a career at the second largest and fastest growing social good software company in the world
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
- 3-4 years related work experience; SaaS experience preferred
- Requires knowledge of corporate finance terms and concepts, as well as accounting principles
- Ability to multi-task effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong analytical skills, proactive results-oriented work ethic, and adaptable to change
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous communication to internal stakeholders
- High attention to detail and solid organizational skills
- Experience with Adaptive or another comparable planning tool
- Experience with Intacct or another comparable accounting system
- Desire to work in a social good company a plus
