Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Financial Planning & Analysis Teams develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. They perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. They gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts. The Financial Planning & Analysis Teams also perform economic research and studies on rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance, and the impact of governmental requirements.
The Data and Devices (DND) business unit of TE Connectivity has an opportunity for a Commercial Financial Analyst based in Middletown, PA. The Commercial Financial Analyst is a key business partner and financial control, highly involved in driving revenue growth and cost savings through business model awareness, market trend/variance analytics, data modeling, building forecasts, and planning models, and providing financial insights and policy control support to the DND Sales Team.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:• Actively provide finance support to Sales Team to drive revenue growth and profit improvement• Partner with regional Sales leaders to efficiently monitor and manage the Sales Team's Opex. Work with HR on headcount plan and prepare insightful analysis on actual results to forecast variances, trends, and risk/opportunities to support leadership in making quality business decisions and driving forecast accuracy.• Assist in the preparation of forecasts for assigned areas. Support critical business processes, such as Sales & Operation Planning, annual Budget, Forecasting, and long-term Strategic Planning, which includes creating, analyzing, and modeling scenarios to ensure forecast accuracy in a dynamic business environment.• Lead month-end close process, including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations as assigned• Track, maintain, and account for all Customer agreements associated with shadow pricing, rebates, NRT, etc.• Communicate proficiently with local legal entity finance teams across different regions to ensure all journal entries and accruals are performed within the requirements of GAAP• Maintain the Commercial function's DOA structure• Develop a deep understanding of key customers/OEMs and business activities; identify key drivers to help the Sales Team meet KPIs• Review customer payment terms, credit limits, and AR with accounting controls in compliance• Analyze AR performance, including actual reporting and past-due monitoring• Monitor daily transactions related to CR, RMA, and FOC requests• Ad hoc assignments as required
What your background should look like:
Position Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in finance/Accounting or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred)• 3 to 5 years of experience in financial accounting or analysis in a manufacturing environment• Must have strong MS Excel skills, including proficiency with databases, SAP, TED/Cognos, Hyperion, and the ability to use PowerPoint effectively and efficiently for presentations• Proven analytical skills, a clear thinker with problem-solving skills and innovative ideas• Works well in a global, cross-functional matrix environment; able to lead teams and build consensus• Professional maturity with an attitude of ownership and accountability for assignments• Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence across the organization effectively• Proven results through identification and implementation of process improvements while maintaining tight internal controls, with little to no direction• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines

COMPENSATION• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $66,320- $99,480 (subject to change dependent on physical location)• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
