About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Financial Analyst to join our team, with a focus on creating comprehensive company and program financial reports, pricing federal contracts, and leveraging expertise in Deltek Costpoint. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, developing competitive pricing strategies for government contracts, and maintaining compliance with federal regulations. This role is critical in supporting decision-making processes and driving financial performance within the organization. 
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Financial Reporting: 
    • Prepare, analyze, and present company and program financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analysis. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting that meets internal and external requirements.
    • Manage the month-end close process, ensuring books are closed accurately and on time. Conduct analysis of cost trends, revenue recognition, margins, and necessary cost adjustments.
  • Pricing Federal Contracts: 
    • Develop and manage pricing models for federal contracts (e.g., FFP, CPFF, T&M) in accordance with FAR, CAS, and other regulatory guidelines. Work closely with proposal teams to create competitive and compliant pricing strategies.
  • Deltek Costpoint Management: 
    • Utilize Deltek Costpoint for financial reporting, budgeting, project billing, revenue management, and expense tracking. Ensure accurate maintenance of cost pools, indirect rates, and other financial data critical to federal contracts.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: 
    • Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for company programs. Monitor financial performance against budgets, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
    • Manage the Estimate at Completion (EAC) process for forecasting and program performance, ensuring accurate and timely projections.
  • Compliance & Audit Support: 
    • Ensure all financial reporting and contract pricing activities comply with federal regulations, including FAR/DFARS, GAAP, CAS and SOX compliance. Support internal and external audits, including DCAA/DCMA audits.


Required Skills/Abilities, Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, with a focus on federal contract pricing and financial reporting.
  • Expertise in preparing, analyzing, and presenting comprehensive financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and variance analysis.
  • Experience in managing the month-end close process, including closing books accurately and timely, analyzing cost trends, revenue recognition, and reviewing margins and cost adjustments.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing pricing models for federal contracts (e.g.,F FP, CPFF, T&M), in compliance with FAR/DFARS, GAAP, CAS, SOX and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Skilled in using Deltek Costpoint for financial reporting, budgeting, project billing, revenue management, and expense tracking.
  • Expertise in supporting the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, managing the Estimate at Completion (EAC) process, and monitoring financial performance against budgets and recommend corrective actions.
  • Strong understanding of federal regulations (FAR/DFARS, GAAP, CAS and SOX) and experience in ensuring compliance during financial reporting and contract pricing activities.
  • Experience in supporting internal and external audits, including DCAA/DCMA audits, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform variance analysis and provide insights to support decision-making and improve financial performance.
  • A professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred.
